People Who Recreate Famous Songs Using Video Game Soundfonts

This is one of those rare times when I can say I liked something before it was cool. At first a curious little amusement that is now exploding in popularity, these are songs–and sometimes ENTIRE ALBUMS–that are recreated entirely using instruments and sounds from specific video games. Super Mario 64 is probably the most popular soundfont, but there are loads. No joke, I’m completely obsessed with this stuff. It’s endlessly amusing. And in some cases, I can even say I like these versions more than the original songs. Nostalgia’s a heck of a thing.
