Raymond Briggs’ “The Snowman”

The Snowman is both an illustrated children’s book and an animated television special. The special in particular is very popular in the UK, but EVERYONE needs to know how incredible it is. The art is gorgeous, and it’s one of those things that they say is for kids but manages to affect me emotionally more than most grownup stuff. Both versions are gems of their respective mediums, and deserve to be part of anyone’s Christmas media rotation.
